Introduction to the 2020 Malaysia Group Practice Leader:
My name is Nicole Poon , 47 years old, a white collar employee. I have been practising Bai Yin Qigong for 13 years, and am a Teaching Assistant (TA). Senior Brother (Jason) was my colleague. Hence, I knew about Instructor Bao Feng’s health at the time. I recall that our company was having a dinner for the 2006 New Year, which Jason and I had earlier mutually to attend. When he did not turn up for the dinner, I telephoned him to find out why. He picked up my call but he didn't say anything. It was Instructor Bao Feng who broke the news in a sad voice, “I have nose cancer”. Instructor Bao Feng’s health condition did not improve. As a last resort, they took the advice of her brother (Chief Instructor Tian Shun) and flew to Taiwan to learn Bai Yin Qigong. Senior Sister ( Bao Feng ) learnt EnerQi Beginner. In just 3 weeks, the cancer cells had gone! This was great news! TA Penny was also a colleague. We were obsessed with what kind of Qigong our senior brother (Jason ) had learned – the Master could emit Qi, which could cause people to roll around, or to move backwards with their eyes closed and yet not bump into each other … We listened, and were dumb-struck. It was like a plot in a kungfu novel. It was too unbelievable. We wondered aloud to senior brother (Jason) – why wasn’t such an amazing Qigong available in Malaysia? It was because of Instructor Bao Feng's illness that Penny, Instructor Bao Xuan and I got into Bai Yin Qigong. In May 2007, Master Yin Quan held his first seminar at the Zhen Clan Association in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The venue was crowded to the brim, and Master Yin Quan conducted the YoungQi Course on the very next day. At that time, Chief Instructor Cai Tian Shun was the sole TA. Before I learned Qigong, my health was very poor, my hands and feet were cold. It was difficult for me to perspire. I had Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment from primary school days. During secondary school, my migraine became more serious. I took Panadol on a long term basis for relief. During my menstruation periods, taking 7, 8 painkillers was normal for me. My doctor would give me 2 injections. Occasionally, my whole body would ache, I would feel weak and dizzy. The doctor only prescribed pain-killers but could not find out the root cause of my health problems. All these symptoms were not indications of serious illnesses, but they showed that I was in sub-health condition. While attending Master Yin Quan’s first lesson in the YoungQI Course [Detoxification Technique], I was in so much pain that I fainted. I complained to senior brother (Jason ) – “What kind of technique is this, that is causing me so much pain!” Jason said: “Even a simple movement like this is causing you so much pain. Your body is too weak and frail. Don’t waste time, learn and practise more!” It was his statement that has motivated me to persist to this day. I had completed all 6 Essential Courses in Malaysia over a period of 5 years, and graduated in 2012. “Practice is Essential, Virtue is Priority” is our Bai Yin Family practice philosophy. I started serving as a Probation Volunteer, then as a Volunteer, was a white- board writer for Jason and Bao Feng HarmonyQi classes, and later was promoted to be TA. I became a Group Practice Leader, a Committee Member in the Activities Team, and currently am the National Group Practice Co-Ordinator for Malaysia. I thank my “benefactor angels” gui ren Instructor Jason and Instructor Bao Feng, for helping me to regain my health. Thanks to their careful guidance and patient encouragement, my life is now filled with brightness and colour. Qi is the best doctor, and group practice is a means to tap into the collective Qi to release the combined energies to multiply the Qi force, to enable us to achieve double the result by expanding only half the effort. This is one of the reasons why our Masters encourage and insist that everyone should join the group practice. My thanks to all the Instructors, TAs and Volunteers who sacrifice their personal time with their families to practise together with the students at the group practices. Grateful appreciation to our wise and knowledgeable Masters for introducing this great Qigong to us. I am grateful for the comprehensive teachings of Master Gao Yun, Master Bai Yin and Master Yin Quan, for imparting to us the natural wellness therapies that provide healing for the body, mind and spirit, and for showing us the path that leads to a healthy way of life.
